Not ones for sensitive outpourings, wailing guitars, muffled bass, or deadpan drums, PLANETMAN have been meandering around the UK music scene peddling thier own brand of Hybrid Punk Rock, and a 2003 line up change cemented these 4 fine upstanding pillars of the community as a band to watch if you got the chance. Soon, people were coming from far and wide to see them playing their unique brand of euphoric-state-inducing, Kung-Fu rock.
The boys, confident without the swagger, bold without being brash and an absolute delight to behold, create the kind of music that simply makes you want to move. Imagine throwing Sublime, QOTSA, Minutemen, a 70's Mohawk and Del Trotter from Only fools and horses into a Mini Cooper and firing it to the moon using an intergalactic, mini firing space cannon...yes...good. They kind of sound and feel a bit like that...in a good way. So sure, you might spill your pint dancing, and they might get a little naked, but that's all part of the fun games for this turbo-sonic 4-piece, as their stage show creates slightly more than recommended amount of energy to incite a crowd to riot!
The simple down-to-earth music is raw, passionate and real. Insightful lyrics and catchy guitar hooks made enough of a splash to get TROLLFACE on a white label release late in 2006. A combination of the bands DIY ethic, unswerving willpower, and empty bank account enabled them to record, mix and produce their 2005 6 track E.P. 'Hybrid Vigour' in the Welsh valleys...is it, and other previous releases include the 2002's 'PLANETMAN EP', and free internet album 'Kung-Fu Rock Chronicles', available here >>>
And now, astoundingly positive industry feedback, a new 4 track Demo, and a spot on the 2008 Surface Unsigned festival, have the music hungry delinquents wiping the dripping saliva from their mouths at the prospect of another round of finger ripping, car destroying, bank emptying, country travelling, aurally exciting, mind bending, rock hard live action.
